I proudly present a collection of my art. They are all deeply personal -my creations- and a reflection of who I am and my path in life as an artist.

I accept a limited number of commissions per year, with great enthusiasm and the ability to work with my clients for the portrait of their dreams. If you wish to enquire or book, please contact me.

Some original works are available. Please contact me directly.

Original Logo Design * 2009 * Commissioned by K. Davies

Designed for a pet shop in Sydney, Australia.

*****

Arabian Horse Necklace * 2009 * Handmade turquoise beads & Leather

The traditional meaning behind the necklace was to help ward off jealousy of ones Arabian horse. Western Society has taken it and like usual, made it into an accessory with ridiculous designs and jewels.

I stick with the traditional materials and meaning.

"White Light" * Charcoal * 2009 * 9 1/2"x12 1/2" * Original Available

Photographer Unsure

This gorgeous stallion is modelled after the great Gdansk (dec). I love not only the Arabian himself, but the strong light too and wanted to capture both. The title is representitive of the light, but also the spiritual meaning of being protected...

"Gazal Al Shaqab" * Pastel * 2009 * 11"x14" * Original Available

Stuart Vesty Photo

A dream to create Gazal through my HeART and Soul for the Editor of The Arabian Magazine (UK), (featured in May 2009 issue) and to be so supportive of my work.

"Into The Light (Simeon Safsal)" * Charcoal * 2009 * 11"x14" * Original Available

Nicole Emanuel Photo

I have for some time now, wanted to create an artwork where the viewer had to 'fill in' the missing details. I wanted the Arabian to 'emerge' from the dark background and the light to be almost a spotlight on him. Inspired by a Robert Vavra photo, but the use of Nicole's photo and Greg Egan (Myth Haven Arabians) stallion- this is what I had envisioned for so long!

"Thee Onyx" * Charcoal * 2009 * 8"x10" * Commissioned by Sapphire Farms, USA

Stuart Vesty Photo

One of Sapphire Farm's three black stallions. A "Thee Desperado" son. His owner gave me total artistic freedom for his unique and special portrait...

 "Power Play" * Charcoal * 2008 * 11"x14" * Original Available

Karen Sheridan Photo

Karen's beautiful Straight Egyptian stallion in the morning light. It is my hope I captured his power, pride and sheer beauty.

 "Freedom of Movement" * Charcoal * 2004 * 8"x10" * NFS

Stuart Vesty Photo

Apart from my deep love for this stallion- Parys El Jamaal- when I saw Stuart's beautiful photo of him, free and playful with his mares in their paddock- I just had to draw him!

  "Authentic Look" * Charcoal * 2008 * 8"x11" * NFS

Original Donation to The Pyramid Society's (USA) Egyptian Event Annual Art Auction 2009

Proudly owned by Private Collector, USA

The Pyramid Society was created to preserve the very important Egyptian Arabian and as an avid admirer and enthusiast of the Egyptian Arabian myself, it is a pleasure and honour to be apart of their Art Auction again this year.

 "Muta'Kalima" * Mixed Media * 2007 * 9"x12" * NFS

Tanya Hawley Photo

Tanya Hawley of Hawley Arabians, Australia bred and owns this mare. "Muti" is one of my favourites and so I had to draw her. Her beauty is evident; in art and life.

"Light's Dance" * Charcoal * 2007 * 11"x14" * Original Available

Donna Greene Photo

Award Winning Artwork (USA)

This mare's aura -which to me was this beautiful blue/lavender colour- was so vivid; I wanted her artwork to be the same. The early morning light falling on her and peeking through her mane and tail was the 'icing on the cake'!

   "Night Run" * Pastel Pencil * 2006 * 11"x14" * Original Available

I wanted this gorgeous foal to glow in the moon's light. This was also my first attempt at using black paper. I was hooked and now prefer black paper to traditional white or any other colour!

  "Reach for the Star"  * Charcoal * 2008 * 10"x10" * NFS

 KatyPix Photo

Original Donation to Arabian Valley Horse Club Inc., QLD, Australia

I was contacted by AVHC to see if I would consider donating an original artwork  for their "Arabian Gala Event" in June 2009 as the raffle prize. As I strongly believe in and support for, the Australian Arabian horse industry and community, I agreed and so offered "Reach for the Star".

"Shy Girl" * Charcoal * 2008 * 8"x10" * NFS

Suzanne Sturgill Photo

2008 Original Donation to CAPS Annual Art Auction, USA

I was approached by Churchill Animal Protection Society to see if I would donate an artwork. I agreed and so created this original charcoal on paper in support of their wonderful work for dogs and cats.

"Somebody To Love" * Graphite * 2003 * 8"x11" * NFS

First Place in Drawing Category- St. Ives Annual Show, October 2003

Winner "Best Drawing of Show"- St. Ives Annual Show, October 2003

I adore dogs and naturally, I love to draw them. Their eyes, facial expressions; personalities and various coat textures and colours are too irresistible for me as an artist and as an animal lover!

"Wim" * Charcoal * 2003 * 8"x 12" * Commissioned By C. Hedge

Just before I was to leave home to backpack around Europe for three months, I received this commission of the deceased Labrador, Wim. I adored this photo of her on the chair and really enjoyed drawing her. I love those eyes!

My client requested the oval composition for the finished artwork.

 "Haflinger Mare" * Pastel * 2003 * 16"x20" * NFS

Private Collection, Australia

I met my first Haflinger- the stallion, "Admiral" - at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in 1993. The girl whom I was with knew his owner and so we were allowed to go into his stall and groom him. I felt like THE luckiest 12 year old, "horse crazy" girl ever! He was SO beautiful; calm and a real gentleman. I was hooked.

"Haflinger Mare" is my first artwork of the Haflinger breed and I thoroughly enjoyed drawing her! She is also one of my first pastel paintings.

*****

 "Pony" * Graphite * 2002 * 8"x10" * NFS

This is an 'art challenge' that an artist friend and I did many years a go. We would each send a photo of a horse to one another, then challenge to draw it! It was so much fun and very motivating and inspiring.

*****

"Curious" * Pastel * 2003 * 20"x25" * NFS

A pastel inspired by my visit and learnings with Arabian horse artist, Jill Vanstone of Queensland, Australia.

*****

 "Hock Action!" * Pastel & Charcoal * 2002 * 10"x12" * NFS

Private Collection, Australia

Inspired by the great "Crystal Fire". Can you feel the sheer power coming from those hocks and the movement through his tail?
